What I learned from Project Food Blog
I didn’t move on to Challenge #4 in Project Food Blog, but I learned a LOT in just the three weeks I was a participant. Let me share….
What I learned from Project Food Blog
Being Creative
I had not been too creative lately in the kitchen. Although I have been cooking even more than usual, I had just been repeating the same dishes over and over again. This challenge forced me to think beyond dinner and create a couple of beautiful and creative meals.
Writing Posts
I don’t really think much about what I write. In the last couple of weeks, however, I have thought carefully about my choice of words, composition, and more. This extended to all of my posts and not just the Project Food Blog ones. I miss creative writing, and these challenges forced me to not just look in the kitchen but within myself.
Finding New Blogs
My Google Reader has increased by the dozens. My list of recipes to try has increased even more. Both make me happy, and it was Project Food Blog that helped me find all of these great blogs and recipes.
Creating Camaraderie
It is so beautiful to see bloggers rooting one another on. I am proud to be a Foodbuzz Featured Publisher and part of such an incredible community.
The Talent
Food bloggers are so important in today’s world, and they deserve to be so. The writing, the photos, and the creativity have inspired me personally, in the kitchen, and on my blog. Thank you all for your inspiration.
I am excited to keep voting until the winner is selected. To those who remain in the competition, best of luck!!

Sad you didn’t move on…but glad you learned a lot. I have definitely found some new blogs and tons of new recipes as a result of this project. Hope you have a good week
Sabrina, I was also disappointed you didn’t move on. However, this post shows what a great person you are. I feel the exact same way about this project. I’ve been learning so much from other people and thrilled with the camaraderie. I’m so glad to know you Sabrina. Besitos amiga! Diana
I was bummed to see you didn’t make it. Glad it was still a great experience for you though and I loved reading every post.
I didn’t make it past the dinner party either. I really thought you would though! I was rooting for you the whole time. At least you were able to learn from the experience! ๐
Glad you had a great experience even though you didn’t move on….I would have loved to see you move on as I love all your recipes. Thanks for sharing:)
i think this sums up my experience as well…as bummed as i was that i didn’t get to move on, i have learned more about my kitchen creativity and other great bloggers than i would have if i hadn’t joined up. overall it was great!
your dinner party was really awesome, I was disappointed to see you didn’t advance.
many great things to think about and focus on here… ๐
You are such a good sport! Thanks for showing us how you won, even though you didn’t ๐
Your posts and presentations were excellent. And your attitude is even better ๐
Everything is a learning experience ๐
SO sorry you didn’t move on, but as always, you have such a wonderful perspective. So glad you came out the process seeing what you learned in the experience!
Oh no, I was hoping you would advance, as we always get so inspired by you…your writing, recipes, and pictures. : )
But I agree with it is so nice to have support within the blogger community!!
And don’t forget, all the foodie friends you’ve met as a result of PFB…I’m sad you didn’t go on but I’ve also learned that this project definitely challenges each and every one of us to step beyond our comfort zones (while still holding dear to our core values in cooking/entertaining). I hope to see you at the Food Buzz Festival–thank you for the tips. It will be my first!
