  1. I love crash potatoes! I have tried crash sweet potatoes too which are just as delicious.

  2. I LOVE these!! I have made them before and they are everything I hoped they would be..

now I have to try Jessica’s version of SWEET… 😀

  3. Ummm. Why have I never heard of crash potatoes? This needs to change ASAP!

  4. Love PW’s crash hot taters! I have only made them once tho! Must. make. soon! 🙂

  5. These look fabulous! I loveee everything the Pioneer Woman does 🙂 You can use any recipes on your site… it’s good manners to link and/or give credit. But as far as copyright, if you change just one thing, it’s fine. But it’s always good to give credit anyway!

  6. i’ve never even heard of crash potatoes! sometimes it is so fun to have a marathon day of working in the kitchen, even it it does turn into a massive mess:-)

  7. I still only assist in the kitchen for Thanksgiving. One of these years I will get my act together like you. You’re inspiring with your party prep and cooking skills.

  8. I’ve never heard of these! So want to try them. And dig into your Thanksgiving info. I’ve only been hosting a few years and am still pretty clueless! (PS re: sticks in the pizza pops… probably fine, but less stable to put the sticks in afterwards since they won’t be baked on, and riskier to the toppings. But might be worth it for the tray space!)

  9. These look really great – I love that they’re very comfort food-ish and simple, yet they look special. I think my friends would like them because no matter how fancy I get with the food, they only ask me for recipes for things like this. What spices did you use on yours?

I love that recipe! I’ve been making PW’s version for a while now. I love cracked pepper, kosher salt and fresh rosemary.

For Dan, since he doesn’t like Rosemary, I do fresh chives instead

oh and they are on our menu this week for Wed to go with the cheeseburger meatloaf recipe I am trying out 🙂

  12. wait, why are they called “crash”? either way, i NEED them…i was just wondering 🙂

I was just looking at this recipe the other day, now I must make them! They look so delicious

  14. I adore crash potatoes! I’m not in love with their name, but they are so delicious! One night recently for dinner I just ate crash potatoes and brown sugar glazed carrots. It was one of the best meals I’ve had in a long time!

  15. These look fantastic! I’ve never heard of them before, but I’m definitely going to try them soon!

can’t wait to try these, I think they would be great with garlic. Then again this italian girl put garlic on everything, I loved when my friend told me she had never had garlic in her eggs and it was soo good. My dad was the one that got me started and hes not even italian(he likes to think he is) we get our pizza with extra garlic and we love it!

  17. Am I the only one who hasnt heard of these before? Must try!
