This looks like a fabulous menu! Sabrina, I would be interested to know what you are making from scratch and what you are buying pre-made. When I host dinner parties I struggle with wanting to make EVERYTHING from scratch. Which sometimes it’s just easier to buy it pre-made and is more cost/time effective.

@Stacy R., Hi! I understand the feeling- I go through it too. For a party like this one I know that I have friends in town all weekend and that people will be arriving to my place the same time as me. Prepping everything in advance is key, but with guests in town I know I need to buy some food ready too.

I noted what we are purchasing below:
PB’s meatballs, homemade sauce, rolls (purchased) & provolone
Nachos with cheese, guacamole & salsa (purchased)
Pasta Salad: artichokes, sundried tomatoes, fresh mozzarella, basil
Veggies (friend bringing the veggies) with hummus
Green Salad: kalamata olives, shredded carrots, tomatoes, etc.
Spinach & Artichoke Dip with bread
Wing Tray from Jon’s on South St. (purchased)
      Soft pretzels (friend bringing- purchased)
Chocolate covered pretzels & other chocolates (purchased)
      Fruit salad
      Beer, soda, & water (purchased)

I make sure to put everything in pretty serving trays so it all looks beautiful, and that helps!

For most parties I try to do 80% homemade and 20% purchased. I never make bread. If someone wants to bring food I appreciate it, but I don’t count on it unless it is a potluck type meal!

      I hope this helps!
