  2. It always feels so good to conquer a new recipe! This looks FABULOUS Sabrina. Josh does not like peppers…so I’ve been trying to figure out what I can cook for him while I make stuffed peppers for me ๐Ÿ™‚ Maybe I’ll just give him a stuffed squash. Anyways- great work!

  3. I love stuffed peppers. I haven’t seen them made the way you made yours before. They look fantastic. I like this take on them! Thanks for sharing this family recipe!

  4. yay thank you for this!! i ate vegetarian stuffed peppers almost every day when i studied in greece, and i made some a few weeks ago. they were good, but not great. i so trust old family recipes, so i will absolutely give this a spin! is “assorted spices” just like a spice mixture? can i find it in the grocery store? thanks!!

  5. This is the one dish that my husband detests. I don’t know! HE likes everything that goes in the peppers, and he likes peppers, but not the combo!

  6. I love anything with ground lamb!:)
PB, we need a new meatball recipe!!!!

  7. Biz

I never even tried stuffed peppers before I met my husband – turns out it was one of his favorite dishes his mom made – because she didn’t put onions in it!

We have them a couple times a month now – love em!

  8. I can see why this would taste better the next day.Not that there would be any left for the next day. But intellectually I understand. GREG

  9. oh my gosh… you wouldn’t happen to have recipes for chicken schwarma or shish kafta? my love and the one thing I wish I knew how to make.

I’ve been told I can go into a Middle Eastern meat store and the prepare it for you there but I dunno… the only Middle Eastern meat store near me is in a bad part of town.

@Rebecca – Thru Thin and Thick, I’m sorry I don’t have a recipe for chicken shawarma.. I’ve only ever had it out since it is infused with spices and cooked on a spit usually.

I will ask my family for a shish kafta recipe. Do you know which kind you like specifically? Is it one with parsley and onions?

      • @RhodeyGirlTests,

Yes! It is with the parsley and onions…lamb meat as well! although I may make beef at first since the lamb sometimes is hit and miss.

Another amazing dish I’ve had and I can’t remember the name of it is…like mashed potatoes, this sticky white mass, that is swimming in gravy…so yum!

My dad is Middle Eastern unfortunately we don’t have much contact with his side. =(

  10. I love reading your recipes, especially the Armenian ones. ๐Ÿ˜€ I’m part Armenian and it’s nice to see familiar recipes out there. My grandma makes the best stuffed peppers out there! (Though I’m sure yours are pretty good too. ๐Ÿ˜‰ )

  11. loving the peppers..and the red just looks so inviting…and matches your layout…it’s nice when stuff matches…lol ๐Ÿ™‚
