14 weeks pregnant and starting to show!
I can’t believe I’m already almost 15 weeks pregnant. Well, 14 weeks 5 days today, but who is counting… That means that we are only one month away from being halfway there which means that time is flying.
Pregnancy brain makes me say these confusing things sometimes.
I’m so excited!!! Italy while pregnant was fun. I have so much to share on that, but suffice it to say that bambino craved some pretty delicious things…
At the same time, I was still nauseous. I thought that at 14 weeks, which is the beginning of the second trimester, my nausea was supposed to disappear with a dramatic poof.
Liars again. Why does everyone keep lying to me?
The first few days of our Italy trip were pregnancy heaven. My nausea went away and I was so happy. I took off those ugly sea bands, ate at whatever interval I wanted, and didn’t even remember to pack snacks in my bag.
It was shortlived.
I got really nauseous again, and it is still here, but I’m pretty sure it’s my own fault. It seems like when I do too much and am tried I get really nauseous, and I definitely pushed myself to the max on our trip. It was worth it. I’m suffering now, but it was definitely worth my punishment. It is interesting that I am starting to understand how this new alien body works and am learning to not fight it. If I need rest, I must rest.
I am out of breath so fast these days. Even a walk up the stairs or a few minutes walking too fast and I am panting like crazy. I couldn’t have predicted how my body would react to being pregnant, but everything is really different. Pregnancy is not easy, at least not for me, but it isn’t hard either… it is Different. I have to relearn everything and it is fascinating.
In happy and exciting pregnancy news, I’m starting to show! Like show show, not just bloated belly at night! I wake up and there is a definite little pooch. If it was summer and I was in a tight tank you would definitely notice, but since it is still chilly it is under wraps. I am trying to wear clothes that hug my new belly just to show it off, which actually isn’t that hard since I’m already outgrowing my wardrobe. I love starting to look pregnant.

14 weeks in Trieste while trying on jewelry:
On our trip I had a blast asking questions about pasteurized cheese or how big a fish was (to try and determine if it was high mercury or not- some of the fish in Italy we don’t even have here) and then saying because, you know, I’m pregnant. Every time I said those two words (in Italian of course) I would smile like a really goofy girl on her first date with her long time crush. It was pretty ridiculous. I was also mildly offended if the person barely said anything about it. I kind of fell in love with the girl in the Motivi store who couldn’t stop gushing about how exciting it was that I was pregnant and on this trip with my husband and cousins and how much fun I must be having. It’s fun to share the excitement!
Our baby is now the size of a lemon which is incredible! Big growth spurt over the last week.

so exciting π you look so cute with the little baby belly!
You look so beautiful!
Looking great and glowing. Loving these posts.
I was nauseous until week 20, I was so mad when everyone said it would go away after week 12, I just kept waiting and waiting. Now at 24 we are in the clear at least for that haha.
You looking radiant. I hope he nauseia goes away soon (no idea how to spell that).
I’m so glad you’re back and had a fabulous time! You’re looking GREAT- show off that cute baby bump, momma!
I’ve been feeling great, so I can promise you that the queasiness subsides. It still comes back occasionally at night, but totally do-able π
You are amazing! I am so happy for you. That last picture brought a huuuuge smile to my face! I cant wait to see you in person (when we find the time!) so I can gush over how adorable you look!
I’m so glad you had a great time in Italy! Unlimited gelato is probably every pregnant woman’s dream π
Loooooooooove it. And love your shorter haircut! π
I just love hearing about your pregnancy! What a sweet, sweet joy! You look great!
Too cute! I love your teeny belly! Oh and I am going to RI tomorrow.
You look great! I was getting sick up to 17 weeks, though I’d have longer stretches where I felt good once I got into the 2nd trimester. Sadly, m/s is back in the 3rd trimester, though not as bad and is mostly to do with eating more than my squished stomach can hold. Glad you got a chance to enjoy the good food!
AAhhh so exciting!!! I was sick till the 17th week and than it went away, magically just like it came, it disappeared π I also craved sugary fruits – couldn’t get enough of the watermelon and pineapple, and my mom kept saying to me it’s bc I was having a girl and at that time I didn’t know and now when I am 35 weeks and we know, it is a girl π Good luck to you!!!
Adorable belly! Dying to know the pregnancy things that shall never be discussed….hehe. We could probably swap some amazing stories.
You may be the cutest pregnant woman I’ve ever seen! You definitely have the glow, congratulations.

I promise you, the nauseas DO dissapear magically! For my first, it took 4 months straight. And yes, do eat whatever you(re craving for. I had to fly home to Indonesia (I’m Indonesian living in France) to get all my cravings! It was expensive, but it was worth every penny π

Aw Sabrina – you are SUCH and adorable little pregnant lady! Have you decided if you are going to find out the sex of the baby when you can? π PS-CUTE haircut!!

I would wait (probably) but my husband is REALLY excited to find out so we will… in just 5 weeks!

Congratulations! You look fantastic. Glad I am being reunited with your blog. π
@Taylor, Thanks! Congratulations to you too! When is your due date?
You look so great! If you get a chance while you’re in town this weekend, you should stop by Craftland on Westminster St. They have SUPER, super cute baby clothes and onesies that say things like Lil Rhody and have RI things on them. I really want to buy them for my pregnant friends, even if they don’t live here!
Such a cute belly! I’m really tall, so I only started to really show around 16 weeks (and I’m having twins!) but isn’t it so fun! I did get a random person rubbing my belly the other day though…that was awkward haha
Omg congratulations!!! I’m so happy for you! I love how everyone is getting pregnant this year…my hubby and I are planning to start trying this summer! I love your progress pics and seeing your baby bump…you’re such an adorable pregnant lady and I can’t wait to see more pics! π
You make me want to cry you are stunning as a pregnant woman!! I am so happy for you.
Also, I have seen my fiance cry 2 times since we have been together (3 years) and once was during Gina and the Pilot’s reunion video!!! It was so beautiful!!!!!
@Jill, Aww thank you so much!
I know this was a while ago but I’ve just recently started reading your blog and had to comment. I’m 13 weeks pregnant and have been wearing Sea Bands for the last four or five weeks. I had to laugh out loud when you mentioned that you were finally able to take them off, even if it was just for a few days. Even though they seem to keep the nausea at bay they are really hideous to look at! I’m a teacher and didn’t want to tell my students that I was pregnant yet so for the last few weeks of school I had to wear LONG SLEEVED tops or cardigans to hide them. Oh the things we do, say, eat, wear and endure for the sake of pregnancy! π
P.S. You look absolutely beautiful! Every woman needs to be reminded of that π
