  1. Still looking amazing! I love this – it’s going to be so fun to go back and look at this when you’re no longer pregnant. Love “Ice Cream Cravings: Serious” – haha. Mine are too but I’m not pregnant so maybe it’s just this Summer heat! ๐Ÿ˜‰

You look so great! I’m so glad to hear the contractions have slowed a lot. Weight gain during pregnancy is so weird. I don’t understand how I can gain nearly 2 lbs in one week and barely any the following week!

  3. You are the cutest preggo girl ever! I love that first shot of you…so beautiful ๐Ÿ™‚

  4. That picture of you is adorable! Glad the shower was fun ๐Ÿ™‚ And congrats on being in the third trimester! So exciting ๐Ÿ™‚ Its amazing how strong those tiny feet and hands can be! I’ve definitely said ouch more than once! I linked to one of your baby center posts in my last preggers update. Love reading your stuff! Have a good one

I have to say, I love your blog! I am almost at 28 weeks and planning for a “natural” childbirth at a hospital my husband and I have decided to go without a doula this round and see how it goes. You look great by the way. Also if you haven’t seen the documentary “The Business of Being Born” I highly reccomend it, my husband said he learned a lot about child birth from watching it and is definately board my decision not having an epidural!

  6. You are definitely glowing! As someone who had to deal with turning a breech baby, I know there are simple exercises and stretches you can do to “motivate” the baby to get in the head down position. Things like keeping your posture really straight, squats, hip circles/pelvic tilts, and downward facing dog all help. Of course ask your doc what he/she thinks. My doc told me that my situation was rare. Don’t worry, most babies get head down on their own. ๐Ÿ™‚

Hahahahhaha I love that you called bambino an asshole for kicking you so hard!

  8. Girl, you look fabulous in that picture! I’m obsessed with my baby being head down, too. Any tips to helpbthem go he’d down or stay that way?

Welcome to the third tri! Let the countdown begin ๐Ÿ™‚

  9. Home stretch! Yay! You look wonderfully happy. Enjoy those cravings and glad to hear you’re taking it easy:)
P.S. a note on stretch marks….I, like you, also got them growing up and didn’t end up getting any at all through both of my pregnancies:)

  10. Loving the updates! Can’t wait for the little many to arrive!

  11. You certainly do NOT look like you’ve gained 40 pounds!

    Anyway…
I think I would be rocking the ice cream craving, too, if it weren’t for the fact that I think my own little one is not a fan of lactose. If I get really desperate, I know there are always dairy-free options:-).

  12. You are looking gorgeous as ever! Glad you had such a great weekend! Hope you have a great week:-)

You look beautiful!! Glad things are going well – I wouldn’t worry too much about breech at this point – the baby has a way of fixing themselves before they are born – I actually have a twin sister, and I came out first – my sister was breech and they were able to turn her around and out she came . . . about 30 minutes after me!

  14. I loved the story about the baby kicking you, not that it hurt you but what you said made me laugh out loud! Glad you are doing well and keep taking good care of yourself ๐Ÿ™‚

  15. Just found your blog via twitter…you are absolutely gorgeous!!! Congratulations on an exciting journey! A co-worker brought her baby girl by for a quick visit at work…born 5 wks premature and is just now 6 lbs…so tiny…the greatest gift in the smallest package! ๐Ÿ™‚

    Have a wonderful evening!

  16. Glad everything is still going well for you! I love the ice cream cravings…aren’t pickles and ice cream the two most popular ones?

  17. Jill

Don’t worry about breach. . .I was until 35 weeks (although I still hold my breath at each doctors appointment.)

Here is what I did, twice a day, and now that baby has moved into proper position, I do it once a day.

Get on the floor on your hands and knees, then place your entire forearms on the floor, resting your head on you arms. Then, just rock your hips from left to right – I did a count of 100 (50 right- 50 left).

    Good luck!

Would love to know how any tips your OB has on preventing the breach baby position. I’m a few weeks behind you so I having so much fun following you along. BTW, I’m not sure I would have made it through your shower without crying through the “guess the weight game”. You are a far better sport – but probably because you look/feel great.

@Lynn, I’ll let you know what the doc says about breech babies!

I have finally accepted that my body is in control here and I am going to gain what I need to gain. I am above where I wanted to be at this point, but once I realized my body needs to do what it needs to do I am fine with it all.

Thanks. I think I finally realized that this last week. At least we’ll have fun working hard this fall to get back in shape :). I just saw your post on babble and all the comments for breech babies, so I’m all set. Thanks!

I absolutely love reading your blog. I am 10 weeks pregnant and I have been looking everywhere for these wooden countdown blocks I see in all your pictures. I would really appreciate if you could tell me where you got them from. Thank you in advance.
