    Feta cheese 🙂 you can add tomatoes and herbs etc to it. Tastes great 🙂

  2. Have you tried varying up kebobs? Skewers with mushrooms, bell peppers (several colors), and maybe a meat marinated overnight before putting them on the grill.
    Trader Joe’s makes a wonderful “Soyaki” marinade that’s always good. Also- have you tried skewers with fruit? A favorite of mine is grilled chunks of pineapple and melon, which you serve with a cold dip. So awesome!

  3. We grill a lot of the same things and I too have been getting tired of our rotation. I love to grill but I feel like we are in such a rut and its only May! We have added brats and chicken sausages to the list. We also will do flank steak when it is on sale. Happy Summer!

    This is more of a dessert, but try slicing a peach in half and grilling it for a few minutes cut side down. Then top with a small scoop of vanilla ice cream or some Greek yogurt and honey.

    Also, remember even if your just doing “burgers” there are so many different ways to season and prep them that they don’t seem like the same meal at all. For example:
    Teriyaki burgers with grilled pineapple
    Mediterranean burgers with feta and spinach
    Chicken and sun dried tomato burgers
    Portobello mushroom burgers with avocado

    Anyway, you get the idea, I’m sure. Happy grilling!

    I love grilling fruit. It really brings out the sweetness of them. We love bananas, peaches, and pineapple on the grill.

    I’ve also grilled tempeh kabobs before with tempeh in cubes, pineapple, and red peppers.

    We do all kinds of seafood on the grill! It’s light and perfect for summer time. Our faves are below:

    Oysters (on the halfshell with asiago cheese and seasonings, yummy!)
    Shrimp
    Lobster
    Fish (we like to filet the fish and cook it directly on the grill in the skin, it preserves all the flavor and keeps the meat from getting overcooked and it serves so beautifully)
    Scallops (in tin foil)

    Also, if you are having a few people over, a DRUNK CHICKEN is one of the easiest things to put on the grill. You take a whole chicken and season the outside to your taste. Then you take a couple sips out of a 12 oz can of beer (or other beverage, but beer really brings out the taste in the chicken) and squat the chicken on the beer can so it’s standing straight up. You put this on the grill for about 1.5 – 2 hours. Voila! We eat this very often, so to change it up I will use a dark beer and put a cap full of liquid smoke in the beer, or make a glaze to drizzle over the chicken every 15-20 minutes (so good), or I stuff veggies on the inside of the chicken before squatting it on the beer… There are so many things you can do with this dish to make it your own! And it’s just fun!

    How do you grill sweet potatoes? Just whole?

    If you like fish, swordfish and tuna are delicious grilled. Also, kielbasa-grilled, sliced and served as an app with spicy mustard. Delish!

      @Taylor, I usually peel and cut them and put them in foil with salt, pepper, and olive oil. They kind of steam a little but taste grilled. Yum.

    I’m not a big fan of cookbooks in general, but my mom gave me an amazing one called Mastering The Grill (I think she found it at TJ Maxx, but they have it on Amazon). Very very highly recommended.

    One of our favorites is grilled Caesar salad – split a Romaine heart in half (leave the core in!) and grill it lightly on both sides, then top with Parmesan and homemade Caesar dressing. The grill gives it that awesome smoky taste, and the outer leaves are wilted a bit but the inside is still nice and crunchy. It’s kind of unusual but we love it!
