Insanity Month 2 Day 1: Max Interval Circuit
Oh. My. God.
I thought I was going to be sick this morning during Insanity’s first month 2 workout: Max Interval Circuit. There’s a reason that the recovery week is there. You need it.
The Insanity Month 2 workouts are each about an hour long and the first one, Max Interval Circuit, was hard. There were many times this morning where either my heart or my legs just… couldn’t. My leg muscles were taken all the way to fatigue in the first 30 minutes, and my heart rate was flying at multiple points in the workout.
For the Max Interval Circuit you do 3 different circuits, doing 3 sets of each. I think they are about 2 minutes long per set. The highlight for me was the frog jumps. I hate them so much but I push myself the hardest during them. The hardest exercise for me were the switch kicks on the floor. I could only do about 10 seconds of them the right way before I had to slow down and skip the jumping from leg to leg part. If you’ve done them you might know what I mean.
It’s now 1:30 PM and my legs feel really heavy. I have no idea how they will recover in time to do tomorrow’s plyo workout. I think I understand why so many people said their bodies change so much more in month 2. That extra 20 minutes of exercise makes a big impact.
I’ve been at this for 5 weeks now, and I can tell. I’m on autopilot now where I eat well and exercise every morning because it’s simply part of my routine, no different than brushing my teeth. Meanwhile, if you don’t have the luxury of time to exercise, this unique method offered at iFitZone health and performance studio, EMS training only 20 minutes per day for a full body workout.

Awesome job! I start month 2 today. I am a bit nervous. But I will pull through it. How has the rest of the month gone for you so far?
It’s going pretty well. I love it some days and have to really drag myself out of bed others. What do you think? It is definitely the best workout video/video series I’ve ever done.
I have to do my workouts at night. It is the hardest workout I have ever encountered. I am already seeing the results. So thats the reason why I am sticking with it. I will probably do p90x after this. I would like to incorporate weights back in my work out.
I’m doing this tomorrow. I’m excited and nervous. Did you the fit test before? My calendar (one I found online) says fit test and max interval.
I haven’t seen much change in month one. So I’m really looking forward to month 2
I skipped the fit test because of time.
Did any of y’all do the max interval circuit as soon as you finished the fit test or did you wait a bit?
My husband did max interval circuit immediately after
Yap, I worked it out at a stretch
good talk.
I did them together
I just finished the first day of month two and man that was hard. I did it immediately after the fit test and I was already exhausted from that. It was nice that I was still able to push through both of them. I definitely noticed a difference in my fit test. Some exercises were about the same but some of them almost doubled. I’m looking forward to seeing Month 2 results. Good luck and dig deeper.
Anyone noticed the dude with with the headband almost kicks Ariel in the face with his little spin towards the end? I thought her reaction was kinda funny. Lol
Is that the time when Ariel gives him a wicked dirty look? If so then we noticed!
should i still do day 2(month 2),even though i have back pain from day 1?
I just finished the plyo, day 2 month 2 and boy it was long,bt i feel good. I am hoping the results will show soon
the max versions are several levels more difficult. The new warmup nearly killed me.
But I finished and I am proud of it.
Had to dig very deep. Lets see how the rest of the month will go
