My favorite things about pregnancy.
This post is part of a sponsorship with Babycenter.
It is absolutely no secret that I hate pregnancy. I am so thankful that we’ve been able to have two healthy babies so far, but I really wish I could skip the pregnancy part. I can’t believe I’m saying (er, writing) this right now, but I’m starting to feel the itch for a third kid. What is wrong with me? Just forget I said that. I need a good long while before we even think about more kids, especially given the overwhelming days I seem to have now and again.
In an effort to psyche myself up for the next pregnancy (not for a long, long time, I promise!) I’ve been thinking about my favorite non-baby-related things about pregnancy.
Here they are:
Midday naps.
When I was pregnant with Raffi I often indulged in a post lunch 20 minute nap. I am the master of the 7 minute nap and can fall asleep and wake up refreshed within 7 minutes. I’m not exaggerating. I love naps but the only time I don’t feel guilty taking them is when I’m pregnant. When I was pregnant with Ali I loved putting Raffi down for his nap and then snoozing on the couch for 20 minutes before I tackled my to do list.
Strangers.
Strangers are so nice when you’re pregnant! I’ve met the kindest and most helpful strangers when pregnant. People have held doors for me and helped me carry my groceries and I’ve even had a stranger tie my shoe. I wish people were always this kind to one another. It’s funny because it seems like once you have a kid those niceties go out the window.
Ice cream.
I like ice cream normally, but when I’m pregnant I have an ice cream obsession. Actually, I also have a cereal obsession. Both taste so incredible and more delicious. I’m not sure why. Is anyone else as ice cream, cereal, and grilled cheese obsessed when they’re pregnant as I am?
Nightly foot rubs.
This one only happens in my dreams hahahaha. But in my dreams I get nightly foot rubs for my aching pregnant feet. Instead, I’ll settle for a very amazing second best, the nightly bath. There is nothing more cozy while pregnant than getting into a warm bubble bath and relaxing.
And now that I’ve taken that trip down memory lane I think my baby fever has disappeared again for a little while.

This post is part of a sponsorship with Babycenter. As you all know I rarely accept sponsored opportunities and take care to make sure any partnership I have is a good fit for both me and my readers. I’ve used Pampers Swaddlers since day 1 with Raffi and use them with Ali any time she’s not in a cloth diaper. I also have a serious obsession with Target. It made perfect sense to partner with them and share my favorite things about pregnancy (aside from all the gushy stuff like feeling the baby kick). If you’ve read this far, get yourself to Target to take advantage of the Pampers diaper deal!
