Stitch Fix #2
Since everyone loved my first Stitch Fix post so much, I thought I’d keep sharing what I receive.
Just like the first time, this time I asked for nursing friendly shirts that were NOT black since my whole closet is decidedly black. I’m really trying to branch out into patterns, which, if you know me, is really hard to do.
I love love LOVED my first Stitch Fix and had a hard time deciding which pieces to keep. This time I fell in love with one piece right away and knew with a quick glance that I’d be returning all the other pieces.
Here are the pieces I received:
#1 Bergdorf diamond printed henley blouse $48
This is not a shirt I would ever pick out in a store for myself for so many reasons. It’s not black. It has long sleeves which I tend to shy away from. It has buttons all down the front which doesn’t typically suit my body type well. It was cut short so it would have to be worn with real pants. Despite all of that, this shirt is PERFECT for me. This is the piece I kept. It feels comfortable, the material is nice, and it is quite flattering. I feel good in this shirt.
#2 Filbert 3/4 sleeve popover blouse $58
I love the color of this shirt against my skin, but it just didn’t fit me well. It was the right size, but just not cut for my body. Returned.
#3 Barry textured A-line dress $48
Uhhhh. I don’t even know what to say about this one. Again, I liked the color. That’s all I liked about this. I have a really thick midsection. A dress that cuts right at the thickest part of my waist is really unflattering. Also, I could have fit another person inside. Returned!
#4 Roxanna chevron open knit cardigan $58
If I didn’t already have several cardigans similar to this, I may have considered keeping this. It was just a little off – the material was a bit too cheap for me and the cardigan wasn’t long enough. I could see this looking really nice on someone else though. Returned.
#5 Brittany Faux Leather Detail Ponte pant $98
I don’t have a separate photo of these, but I’m wearing them in the above photos. I really liked these pants, but with spring right around the corner I decided to return them. The price also seems high for a pair of leggings with a fake strip of leather down the side. They were pretty though and fit me well. Returned.
I’ve already worn my new shirt from this fix on two separate occasions. And I’ve worn the shirt from the last fix multiple times too. I’m addicted to Stitch Fix. I already booked my third fix and I can’t wait to receive it.
For the uninitiated, here’s how it works: You pay $20 for your box of clothes picked out for you by a stylist. They know your sizes and style by a profile you fill out, and they know what you’re looking for because you tell them. If you keep any of the items they send you, the $20 gets applied to them. If you send everything back, you pay $20 and call it a day. You have 3 days to decide what to keep and what to send back, and they do their best to pick pieces within your budget.

I love these posts! I’m going to try out SF as soon as I’m not pregnant anymore 😉 Can’t really justify it right now since I don’t fit in any normal clothes.
Congratulations!!! I can’t believe your baby is due so soon. I’m really happy for you 🙂
